A Singaporean girl who graduated from a Medical College in the UK and currently working as a doctor, spending most of my years abroad burying myself amongst medical books, speaking Queen's English and trying to adapt to life in Britain. But I still remain a true blue Singaporean who loves my plate of char kway teow and enjoys the sense of closeness when speaking "Singlish" to my fellow countrymen. Why "The Chinese Doctor"? Because that's what my patients call me since they don't know my name!

Blog of the Day *sigh*

Today's a big BIG relief to me. Finally, my exams are over..just the theory bit. Practical exam coming up, but heck it, I'll take my time to revise.

Actually, there are loads to do within this period, but I'm extremely exhausted from the studying and piahing. I do deserve a nice break don't I? I'm sure everyone agrees with me..haha.

Ok, so wat's there to do? Basically, 2 things. Get through the practical exam and finish the project. Sent out my survey questionnaire 2 days ago and I've got 14 replies so far! Not bad for a start, and not bad for the number of replies as well, especially knowing that fact that there was a lot of mail failure deliveries (how come manz?! maybe they thought my email was a spam). But anyway, am planning to set the dateline for data collection on the 20th, afterwhich I can start doing my data analysis and type out my research 'journal'. Such a waste of time doing such a project..I wonder what can I learn from it..

Shall blog about today now. Much more interesting than my usual ramblings.

Finished my last theory paper...Health in Society (crappiest module in med sch) in the morning. Kinda regretted not memorising figures, which made me lose 4 marks..but the paper was upon 180, and I guess it'll be about 2 marks after scaling it to 100. Thank goodness I learnt my statistics. The paper was ok I suppose. Should be able to pass lah hor? *ponders*

But anyway, to hell with the theories. I happily went to catch a bus to the city centre and did some shopping! Woohoo!!! Oh boy, don't I just love shopping..even if I don't buy anything..hahahahahaa. I haven't been out to the shops for weeks. Thanks to laziness, bad weather, lack of time etc. Ok, it was more of laziness. I rather stayed at home and rot on my desk than to lift my butt and go to the kitchen. It's quite a miracle that I actually made the effort to buy dinner from the restaurant outside, and even more amazing was that I even walked to the Japanese restaurant to have a nice dinner. Sometimes, I'm just so impressed with myself. Deserve a big pat on my back yah?

Bought quite a number of stuffs today. Let's see...hmm..facial scrub..hair conditioning spray...conditioners...heat pad (for Jason)..and TED stockings (for Jason's Dad). Had a meal from Burger King today as well (hate fastfood manz..but it tastes nice once in a blue moon). Went searching ard for other people's prezzies, except mine. I had a look around at clothes etc, but none I found suitable enough for me to go to the changing room and try. Reason being they are so revealing..some are not really so, but I'm sure Jason won't like the idea of me in those tops anyway. Imagine this silky halter top, with a deep V in the front..sounds nice..but I think I can expect the look on Jason's face if I wear it out *grinz*. I tried to find a nice jacket for Jason. Saw one which looked not bad, but it's not a jacket, it's a zipped sweater. Then saw an Adidas one. Looks nice..comes with a matching pair of track pants..but costs like £35! To think it was still an on offer price. Good thing I didn't buy it, cos soon after I came home, Jason told me that he's already got a jacket, and one's good enough. Haiz..how come he can't be more vain..ya noe...like change jackets once in a while for a different look? Haha..he's that simple. But still handsome..to me at least :)

Got home at around 2+pm, and immediately turned on my laptop. Chatted with him online for a while and started watching "Long Vacation" soon after. I was so nua that I decided to watch it on the bed, which was of course uncomfortable after a while.

Then started exploring the different blog servers. Decided to move out from diaryland because of the boring functions they have got. I can't do anything to it and can't add images too. Oh manz, talking about images, I found a cool pic while helping my brother with his wateva drawing research...BALLET SHOES!!!! Pointe ballet shoes!!!! I just love it so so so so much...always wanted a guy to buy it for me..hahaahha..a unique one of course..but buying shoes for someone is a taboo. So...too bad!!!

For the rest of the night, I just started rotting, watch more VCDs, rot again, did my usual stuffs, rot again and I'm extremely hungry. Maybe a cup of milo will be nice. *go boil water*

Guess I'll be turning in pretty soon..hopefully. Finish the cup of milo first. Got quite a number of things to do later in the day:

1. Borrow a clinical examination book from the med sch library (shit..gotto catch a bus to and fro again..)
2. Check out what topics are to be included for the clinical examination communication skills section
3. Revise a few clinical systems

Hmm..shouldn't be too hectic a day lah right?

Milo's gonna be ready soon..yippeeeee. Maybe I'll just search my drawers to see what other VCDs I can watch while drinking my milk.
