My urinary frequency is going bonkers!
Visiting the toilet is one of the best ways for me to get away from my books whenever I'm sick of studying, but this time, it's getting on my nerves. Simply because I've been visiting the toilet like every 15-30 minutes, and it's not because I want to, but because my bladder feels full and uncomfortable for no apparent reason.
And there is pee all the time, even if it's a drop or 2. I got so sick of it that I just couldn't be bothered to get out of the toilet, and sat in there to wee a few more times. The bad thing is I still feel as if I haven't weeed my fill after coming out each time.
Even my darling is thinking it's getting abnormal since I'm not a frequent toilet visitor and now, I'm going "I can't talk to u now. I need to go to the toilet. I'll be back."
I'm having a good guess about my diagnosis, and I think I should be right with my guess, and that will mean a visit to the doctor's to get some antibiotics. Manz, I hate going to see my GP cos I can't just walk in anytime I like. Hate booking appointments with the clinic too since they are always fully booked. Maybe I shall head down to Boots to get some over-the-counter meds for temporary relief first, if they do carry those medications. Sheesh, everything about my health is sorta going downhill...first, the toothache, next the sore throat, then the flu, and now my bladder?!?!?!
Kinda pissed off abt it since I can't wait to get back to being my 100% so that I can whip up something delicious for him and stop feeling guilty abt him doing all the household chores and cooking my meals etc.

Hmm I have this condition too once in a while, but mine is either due to nervousness or if didnt drink enough water for an extended period of time. Heehee strange...... =p
probably mine's due to the latter. i'm just worried it's cystitis. heard the symptoms get more prominent during periods, and im not sure if it's the case for me.
wow my parents dont believe me when i say if I dont drink enough water for an extended period of time, i will have the urge to go toilet frequently, so it isnt psychology afterall?
hmm flipping thru my fav Harrison's book, it says that clinical presentation of cystitis includes dysuria, frequency, urgency, and suprapubic pain. If worry get your prof to check loh, even have, touch wood :p , think prognosis not that bad with medication right?
u reading Harrison's ah? Once I open that book, I feel like sleeping. Kumar & Clark's more straight to the point, yet then again, the big one is too much to complete reading. I end up using the baby one, and OHCM. Then I started using other books which isn't that long, and not tooooo brief either. Finding a suitable textbook is a nightmare.
i don't dare ask prof to check...lol. I think I'll go to the GP at most, and if they wanna refer me, I'll go to the hospital. Then again, I'm thinking abt whether I should go to the GP now since I'm getting very much better.
the relation between not drinking enough and the freq of going to the toilet, I am not sure if it's psychological or not. But if u base on science, it doesn't seem to make much sense since your body should be trying to conserve water and producing more concentrated urine hor?
by the way, u keep talking abt optics. U learning it now isit? how's your med sch application?
could it be urinary tract infection?
Haha i developed my passion for medicine in canada mah, so very much influence by the north american system where most med students carry harrison in one hand and the merck manual in another. Heehee both are my fav books on my bookshelf. =p
Hmm maybe, psychological is possible but sometimes i feel that it might be physiological too, maybe the spincter muscle is used to working a few times a day but if no urine come out, they get nervous and work harder? Haha just kidding..... =p
According to renal physiology, your reabsorption and production of conc urine part is right, but sometimes, other factors might come into the pic and complicate things, hmmmmm....
Sigh, cos I doing an optometry degree so everyday optics loh, my med sch application sia, still not there yet, but this year at least climb up one step higher cos i managed to get 2 dentistry interviews heehee...... =]
how many degrees u doing? u got a biomed one already right? then i saw something u put about medical research in uni of tasmania. i get so confused.
Ruoz, so smart! That is what I think too! Read up a bit to see if there's any relation with periods, and apparently, symptoms get more prominent during then. now i'm kinda ok already, so it makes me wonder if i've got it, but asymptomatic, and it was the period which made it symptomatic. UTI is soooooooo common, especially in females.
Haha this is my 2nd degree, hopefully before i finish this degree can get a transfer into med. That offer from uni of tasmania is really stupid cos i didnt even apply to that program and yet they gave me that.... x________X"
i thought it was a bit odd why u do 2 bachelors mahz, instead of going for masters with ur 1st deg and wait to get into med.
haha masters is not a professional degree, so for practical reasons, i chose optometry =]
